Hasn't everyone had a moment or two in their life when they wish they could just shoot their computer? Well, I went ahead and did it, and learned a few things about guns and computers in the process. The most important lesson was: pistols aren't very powerful. I've always heard this, and believed it, but firsthand experience now confirms it. Most bullets from a pistol had trouble just making it through the computer; whereas rifle bullets and shotgun slugs went through easily.

Before anyone gets upset about environmental pollution; we did pick up all the parts after we were done shooting. I took them back to my garage and tore them apart, managing to recover a number of trapped bullets in the process. (Sorry, didn't take pictures of that. I still have those bullets tho, so if someone bribes me with a beer or something I might be convinced to make pictures.)

In no way is this a meaningful benchmark of the performance of anything. About all that can be concluded from these tests is:

None of which is news to anyone familiar with guns.
